Not reaching your goals? You’re not a failure — your strategy is.

Here’s the point of what you are about to read: If you want to be successful at anything in life, you need to be consistent.

Sound simple? It’s hard to live out.

It doesn’t matter if you’re the smartest person in the room or the luckiest — if you’re not putting in the work on a regular basis, you won’t achieve your goals.

Of course, there’s no guarantee of success even if you’re being consistent. But if you’re not consistent, you’re guaranteed to fail.

So it’s worth putting in the effort day in and day out and being patient. Eventually, your consistency will pay off.

If you need any proof, just look at the most successful people in any field.

They didn’t get there by accident or by being born with some special talent — they got there through hard work and consistency.

So if you want to be successful, you need to unlock their secret.

The 2% Rule

One of my favorite illustrations of the importance of consistency is what I call the “2% Rule.”

In short, the 2% Rule says that even small improvements consistently lead to unexpectedly big results over time.
