Don’t fall victim to the culture of perfect goal setting.

It’s our favorite of year again — time for overly ambitious New Year’s resolutions that put unnecessary pressure on ourselves!

As freelancers, we often already deal with tight deadlines, demanding clients, and the stress of running a small business.

So as 2024 approaches, let’s go easy on ourselves and avoid the temptation to take on more than we can handle.

While goals are important, if you find yourself making extreme resolutions like “I will never turn down work!” or “I will be an expert in everything!”, consider this your sign to chill out.

To help you avoid resolution regret, here are 7 overzealous freelance resolutions you SHOULDN’T make for 2024:

“I Will Take on Every Client that Comes My Way”

It’s tempting to say yes to every business opportunity when you’re eager to grow. But taking on too many clients at once is a one-way ticket to Burnoutville.
